Development players heading to the next drill with their coach at training

Programs & pathway

From a first touch through to first grade.

The pathway

Developing players in Western Sydney

We offer a ten year development program that begins in the skill acquisition phase at Under 9 and ends with creating first team ready footballers following two seasons in the Under 18s. We have a strong focus on developing local talent, ensuring that state level football is accessible to Blacktown residents.

Junior football

Our Junior Development League Program (MJDL, or GJDL for girls only) has been specifically designed for the ‘future’ football player and comes following lengthy reviews of best practices and latest research from around the world, to accelerate the skills of the ‘serious’ young Australian soccer players.

The programme is under-pinned by our ‘Player-Centred’ Coaching approach, which means every player will be treated as an individual and receive the best coaching available.

Boys' & Girls' Youth League

Blacktown Spartans FC youth programs are for players with high potential who wish to progress their football development to the next level, accessing Football NSW state level competitions and training in an environment that allows high potential players to come together as a high performing group.

These programs will help players accelerate their development as they are required to operate at a standard involving higher levels of performance across all four corners of player development.
